HIDDEN WALDEN 2011 CALENDAR Make it your calendar!
Where in Walden is this historical spot, and what is it? With your help, the popular Saffron Walden calendar produced annually by Gordon Ridgewell and sold by the Tourist Information Centre (TIC), will be something really special in 2011. Beautiful though the traditional views of the town are, there are many other views, equally beautiful or fascinating, that are rarely seen. It might be a view from your house or garden, a view glimpsed between buildings on a regular walk, or exquisite architectural details that we pass every day but never notice. The TIC and Saffron Walden Initiative are joining forces to produce, with Gordon's help, this new and exciting calendar, and we invite you to submit your photographs of unusual or hidden views of the town (example above), for reproduction in the calendar. In order to capture as wide a selection as possible across all the seasons you can send in up to five images each month until Saturday, 1st May 2010. After that date a selection panel will choose those images that best illustrate the 'Hidden Walden' theme and will also reproduce well in the calendar, which will be on sale in the TIC from August onwards. So start snapping straightaway and email your image(s), with your name, address, telephone number and approximate date (month and year) of the image, to: calendar@swinitiative.org For the full Rules for Submission please see below. For further information call 01799 524002 (TIC) or email calendar@swinitiative.org
