To date a total of 19 new seats and 3 new benches have been given to the town by the Initiative. Nine seats were placed in Market Place, four in the High Street, three at Swan Meadow, one in Abbey Lane, one in George Street and one in Jubilee Gardens as well as two benches in Swan Meadow Coach Park and one bench on Common Hill. These were funded by grants from Action for Market Towns and Uttlesford District Council and co-ordinated by the Saffron Walden Initiative.
