Write a Song for Christmas Competition 2023

This year Saffron Walden Initiative organised a ‘Write a Song for Christmas’ competition. At the Winstanley Christmas Late Night Shopping evening on 1^st December the Mayoress, Heather Asker, presented Elliott Porter with the winner’s certificate. His winning entry CHRISTMAS IN MY HEART was then performed for everyone to enjoy.

Elliot Porter will also receive a free recording session at Fairycroft House. Second Place went to Sakara Pritchard for MY CHRISTMAS WISH and Third Place was awarded to Sienna Denton for SANTA ON HIS WAY.

This year there were 20 fantastic entries and the idea in hand is to record them all and produce a Christmas CD for 2O24.  All entries have been invited to perform at the next Winstanley Christmas Late Night Shopping.
