Winstanley Christmas Business & Shop Windows Competition 2023

On Monday morning, 11th December, the Winstanley Christmas Business & Shop Window awards witnessed a happy start to the day. Saffron Walden Initiative members along with the Mayoress, Heather Asker, surprised local businesses with a trophy, certificates and gifts.

Cole’s in King Street were awarded the Town Trophy, with Charlotte Mundy and Ryan Mead receiving it. They commented on what a brilliant start it had been to a Monday morning.

Frank Riccio Hairdressing in Market Row took second place and Snow Walker in the High Street was third. The Market House in Market Hill, Authentic Turkish Barbers in Cross Street & Eden Lake in Hill Street were all highly commended.

This has been the 6th year of the windows competition and the Initiative would like to applaud everyone for taking part, the standard is amazing. It wishes everyone a Christmas and Happy New Year.

Saffron Walden looks wonderful with beautiful lights, Xmas tree, many activities, markets and lots of interesting independent shops - truly an interesting destination and a great place to live.
